TectoniCAD - features
TectoniCAD is an AutoCAD plugin to visualize structural data. Beside the classic 2D graphics (rose diagrams, isolines, great circles, pole points) you can visualize your structural data also 3 dimensional. The structural data are inserted as AutoCAD blocks and can be edited with AutoCAD commands.
2D graphs of structural data: pole points, great circles, rose diagrams, isolines

Gefügedarstellung Polpunkte        Gefügedarstellung Grosskreise        Gefügedarstellung Kluftrose        Gefügedarstellung Isolinien

3D graphs of structural data: intersectional planes and treces with various 3D solids

Halbkugel         Tunnel        Strasseneinschnitt

The possibility of exact positioning of structural data within a 3D volume as well as to intersect the structural plane with the volume, enables the geologist, to generate demonstrative and easy to understand graphics.

Overview of some TectoniCAD features
  • representation of structural data as pole points, great circles, rose diagrams, isolines (Schmidt projection)
  • creating of nearly endless measurement ranges with any measurements in a single AutoCAD drawing. Measurements are saved direct in AutoCAD.
  • circular statistics
  • representation of 3D basic volumes with mesurements (hemisphere, tunnel, shaft, road cut, rock face,...)
  • illustration of intersections between solid and measured plane
  • illustration of lithologic borders – you can select different colors for different lithologic units
  • Generation of user defined volumes tu visualize the intersection traces (e.g. tunnel with distinct profile, road cuts,...)
  • representation of 3D models with transparencies
  • allocation of materials
  • position of a measurement within a 3D solid can be changed at any time positioning of measurements along tunnelmeter
  • diagrams and graphs are generated on demand and can be synchronized at any time
  • Export and import of measurements via ASCII files
  • possibility to calculate profiles in any direction
  • etc.
